NEW!!!! Bilingual website: On the 10th of July 2010 we proudly present an English version of our webstie. With the support of Annelies, Marianne Heijenrath Milan Rijnen and Slawik Khatchatrian we were able to translate a majority of our Dutch website into English. For us this is a dream coming true because now people from all over the world can read about our foundation and the work we do. Especially of course our friends in Sri Lanka. They can read all about the work we do in Holland. We would like to thank all the people that have contributed to this translation; it was a big job to do.
Using the flags in the upper right corner (just underneath the option "Sitemap") or the flags in the section "Language Selection" will give you access to the English or Dutch content of our site. You can switch language on any part of our website. Only the option "Working Visits" will be in Dutch only. Some parts of the site are not completed yet. We are working on more translations now. They will be added as soon as possible.
In March, Peter and Netty Dobbelsteen have been active in Sri Lanka. They have visited projects that other volunteers earlier have not. We have gathered a lot of information, some of which is already posted on the project pages on our website. See: Project 2010.
We are delighted with the fact that this year every month volunteers were able to visit our projects. This way our work continues and we can continue to support the children of Sri Lanka! In the first months of this year, many projects that were started in 2009 were completed. Our volunteers visited these projects and in their travellog they give an impression in words and pictures. These reports are posted soon on our website".
In the summer of 2010, Jan Heerkens will make another visit to Sri Lanka on behalf of the board. This visit will be devoted to the sponsored children. We want to meet all these children this summer.
Mark your calendar for the next meeting for all interested sponsors: on November 6, 2010 we organize our "Sponsor-afternoon". Further details on this site.
