Since 1 January 2008 the Foundation van Hand tot Hand has been considered as "algemeen nut beogende instelling (ANBI)".  An ANBI is an institution with a church, ideological, charitable, cultural, scientific or general  use which is as such acknowledged by the tax collectors office. On 1 January 2008 the tax rules were changed for institutions with a general use (ANBI) on:

* donation
* succession
* deduction of donations (income- and partnership taxes)

Only the institutions that are acknowledge as an ANBI by the tax collectors office can use the fiscal advantages. You can find more information on the website of the tax collectors office.
