Foundation van Hand tot Hand

For several years we have paid a small amount per month for volunteers who assist in teaching at a school in Kantale. The school is isolated and needs 16 teachers with this number of pupils. However there are only eight. The head of the school asked a number of villagers to assist in teaching. To connect the volunteers to the school and ensure that they really come daily, the schoolprincipal asked if we could help by giving a compensation. When the volunteers are teaching  they can’t surely do other work.

In 2008 we increased the compensation for 5 volunteers from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500 per month. That is € 15, - per month. This project is sponsored by Parish “De Bron”  in Tilburg.
